Special recognition for Julius-K9®
Julius-K9®’s application material called “A Biomechanical Solution for the Protection of Joints” has won an innovation award. This significant innovation is non-other than the IDC®Longwalk dog harness, which has already been awarded internationally, and in which the DuoFlex® system has been integrated. We are very pleased that, in addition to the Reddot Award and the German Design Award, our Y-harness, which was created as a result of four years of research and development, is receiving yet another recognition.
Our company recently received the recognition at the 2019 Hungarian Innovation Grand Prize. The certification was signed by Dr. János Pakucs, founding president of the Hungarian Association of Innovation, Prof. Péter Závodszk biophysicist, and Dr László Palkovics, the chairman of the jury. The certification was presented to the inventor, Julius Sebő. The following text describing the novelty appeared in a publication that summarized the innovation applications:
„BIOMECHANICAL SOLUTION FOR JOINT PROTECTION
Founded over 20 years ago, JULIUS-K9® set a goal in 2014 to establish a new set of values worldwide for animal welfare innovation.
Dogs, as our most important companions, move people both emotionally and physically. While promoting the former, the JULIUS-K9® brand has become known worldwide, the latter, in the case of physical movement, is taking a new path with the help of science, industry and technical vision. It bases its innovations on several continents, protected by many patents and designs, on the results of human and dog motion analysis, to reduce the unwanted effects of vibrations and jerks. Translated into the language of the customers, it presents the IDC®Longwalk dog harness novelty, designed for longer walks, which responds to every movement of the dog and the person holding the leash. The Duo-Flex® flexible system built into the harness is activated at several points, depending on the strength of the smaller and larger jerks and vibrations on the leash. Achieving a joint-friendly effect and ensuring long-lasting operation requires a high degree of manufacturing precision, cross-industry development and research. The company is building this in Hungary, maintaining or even reviving industries that were already considered lost. JULIUS-K9® implements automated and manual mass production using European raw materials and creates a unique knowledge base in the name of sustainability, from European raw materials while constantly training its employees. In addition, it has been moving unabated in the mazes of global retail and wholesale for 20 years, including the latest challenges in the online world.”
